COST: $50 per child, $95 for one parent and one child attending together
TIME : 2-4.30pm (This event goes for approximately 2.5 hours)
LOCATION : Marrickville, Sydney. This is a secret warehouse location and will be revealed 48 hours before the event.
AGE LIMIT: Children must be aged 8 years or older
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
We’ll be baking delectable brown sugar and spice cookies, but that is most definitely not all! Along the way we will:
Learn about connecting with nature, our bodies and our hearts in the kitchen.
Do a kid-appropriate mediation to help us with this connection.
Use the feelings we find inside ourselves during the mediation to create our own personal spice blends for our cookies. Everyone’s blend will be different because we’re all beautifully unique :).
Use our hands A LOT! We will finger lick and bowl dip as much as we please. My classes are all about fun and abandon and deliciousness! And touching and tasting our food is actually a way to connect with nature - after all, our food comes from nature (although this is sometimes easy to forget when we live in a big city).
Learn about what’s delicious and seasonal to eat right now at our beautiful autumn harvest table. We’ll touch and taste fruits and vegetables that are at their yummiest right now, and we’ll learn about their history and ancient uses too.
You’ll take home delicious fresh-baked cookies, and some extra dough so you can bake a fresh batch at home whenever your heart desires. The class is open to all children aged 8 and over, and will be held in our warehouse in Marrickville. Parents are welcome to attend with their children - just select the ‘one parent, one child’ option when purchasing your ticket.
